This is a hands‑on, varied role perfect for someone looking to develop their career across commercial, industrial, and building projects. You’ll gain experience in cost management, contract administration, and project coordination, working closely with site teams and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with budgets, cost plans, and project forecasts
  • Support subcontractor and supplier contract preparation and negotiation
  • Help manage valuations, payment applications, and contract variations
  • Maintain accurate cost records and reporting to control project finances
  • Support contract administration in line with standard UK construction contracts
  • Work with site teams to monitor progress and commercial performance
  • Assist in risk assessment, claims, and dispute management
  • Contribute to tendering and procurement processes
  • Provide general commercial administration support
About You
  • Qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field (or working towards)
  • Some experience in a QS or commercial role in the construction industry (1‑3 years preferred)
  • Excellent communication and organisational abilities
  • Proactive, able to work independently and take ownership of tasks
  • Confident using Microsoft Office; knowledge of construction software is advantageous
