Job summary

WSP in the UK & Ireland is seeking an Assistant Project Manager for PMCM Buildings to support high-value infrastructure projects. The role focuses on programme, cost and quality control across multidisciplinary teams for clients including the Department for Education.

You will assist in project leadership, develop plans, manage stakeholders, and help deliver feasibility through to operation while maintaining value for the client. The position offers hybrid working across UK offices.

Qualifications

• Experience with public sector projects, ideally Education sector.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety regulations applicable to infrastructure—CDM.
• Experience across project lifecycle from Feasibility to Operation.
• Experience supporting contractor procurement and contract close.
• Experience liaising with multidisciplinary teams for client delivery.

Responsibilities

• Support management of projects from RIBA 1 to 6, providing consultancy PM services.
• Assist in developing plans and strategies to deliver objectives.
• Assist in managing the project team.
• Assist in identifying and resolving stakeholder differences.
• Assist Lead Consultant in contract agreement and monitoring compliance.
• Assist with Feasibility Reports inputs and high-quality client reports.
• Monitor progress against programmes and help implement mitigation strategies.
