Job summary

WSP in the UK & Ireland is hiring an Assistant Project Manager to support PMCM Build teams delivering high-value infrastructure for the Department for Education and other clients across the UK.

You will assist in leading programmes, cost and quality control, and work with multidisciplinary teams from feasibility to operation, with a focus on schedule and risk management. This role is based in the UK with hybrid working options.

Qualifications

• Public sector project experience, Education sector desirable.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety regulations including CDM.
• Experience through stages from Feasibility to Operations.
• Experience procuring contractors and achieving contract close.
• Experience with multi-disciplinary client teams and stakeholders.
• Experience developing and managing programmes with risk mitigation.
• Understanding of cost management and delivering best value.

Responsibilities

• Support management of projects from RIBA 1 to 6 with consultancy PM service.
• Help develop plans and strategies to meet project objectives.
• Support and manage the project team and stakeholders.
• Assist lead consultant with contracting and compliance monitoring.
• Contribute to feasibility reports and high-quality client deliverables.
• Monitor progress against programmes and support mitigation plans.
