Job summary

Starbucks is seeking an Assistant Manager to help lead one of our dynamic stores in the United Kingdom. You will own daily operations, drive commercial results, and deliver an exceptional customer experience while engaging and coaching partners to meet KPIs and standards.

You will work with the store leadership team to deploy shifts, monitor performance, and implement initiatives that improve efficiency and service quality.

Qualifications

• Prior experience leading a team in a dynamic, fast-paced retail or hospitality environment.
• Ability to translate metrics into actionable improvements.
• Demonstrated growth mindset and leadership potential.

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts and store operations to deliver commercial results and outstanding customer experiences.
• Own KPIs such as labour efficiency, waste reduction and sales performance.
• Ensure effective shift deployment and routines to optimise customer experience.
• Coach partners, observe performance and provide constructive feedback.
• Recognise and celebrate partner achievements during and after shifts.
• Act as duty manager when scheduled and make operational decisions.
• Maintain brand and operational standards consistently.
• Use financial and operational data to improve shift performance.
• Lead training and development of partners for quality and service excellence.
• Support new initiatives and product launches at store level.
• Maintain compliance with health & safety, food safety and security standards.
