Job summary

St Austell Brewery invites an Assistant Manager to help deliver memorable pub experiences. You will motivate a passionate team, welcome guests, and support the General Manager while ensuring high standards of service and safety.

You will oversee front and back of house during peak times, monitor guest feedback, and work closely with the Kitchen team to maintain quality food offerings, with a clear path toward GM responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role
• Ability to lead when General Manager is away
• Strong guest-focused service mindset
• Attention to admin and cash management
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations
• Mentoring and developing team members
• Willingness to grow toward General Manager role
• Flexibility to support Front and Back of House during peaks

Responsibilities

• Motivate and lead the team when the GM is away.
• Create a warm welcome for guests and ensure consistent service.
• Monitor guest feedback and drive improvements.
• Support Front and Back of House during peak times.
• Overlap with Kitchen team to ensure quality food offering.
• Provide guidance and support to team members as needed.
• Maintain cash and admin processes and handover to GM.
