Job summary

Mitchells & Butlers PLC is seeking an Assistant Manager at the Oatsheaf to support the General Manager in leading the team to success and to deliver an exceptional guest experience. You will mentor staff, drive service excellence and act as Duty Manager when needed, helping to keep operations smooth and guest satisfaction high.

You’ll work in Premium Country Pubs, where we craft food and drink into something special. We offer career progression, brand discounts, and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Previous management experience in a hospitality or pub environment.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Customer-focused with a passion for guest experience.

Responsibilities

• Support the General Manager in day-to-day operations.
• Train, mentor and inspire the team to deliver high-quality food, drink and service.
• Act as Duty Manager in GM's absence and lead by example.
• Drive guest satisfaction and 'WOW' moments to encourage repeat visits.
