Assistant Manager

We are looking for a passionate, hands‑on Assistant Manager who wants to develop themselves alongside out experienced General Manager for the Hoste Arms in Burnham Market. You'll be supporting the General Manager in all aspects of day‑to‑day operations – leading service on the floor and ensuring exceptional standards, leading and training the team, managing our 47 bedrooms and making sure every visit to the Hoste is a memorable experience for our guests.

The majority of our General Manager appointments come from internal candidates, and we're proud to offer in‑house mentoring, clear development pathways and external training opportunities to support your growth. The ideal candidate has experience working as an assistant manager in food‑led destination businesses, is people‑focused, and passionate about offering exceptional hospitality. They are someone who has a GM mindset and is looking for that final bit of development before becoming a General Manager themselves, and the experience they will get working in the Hoste will absolutely set them up for further success in their career.

As the successful Assistant Manager you will have a genuine passion for exceptional customer service and a pro‑active approach to team management. You will be enthusiastic & driven to continue the success of our pub and play a pivotal part in training our team to ensure they have the knowledge needed to delight our customers. You will also be someone who is committed to their career in hospitality and we can offer ongoing development to support you as you grow and succeed with us.
