Job summary

Harri in Cardiff is seeking an experienced Assistant Housekeeping Manager to report to the Housekeeping Manager and oversee daily supervision of a hotel housekeeping team.

You will lead cleaning and hospitality services to the highest standards, train and motivate staff, manage deadlines, and deliver excellent guest service in a fast‑paced branded hotel setting. This hands-on role requires flexibility, reliability, and excellent organisation and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Experience as Housekeeping Supervisor or Assistant Housekeeping Manager in branded hotels.
• Experience in Accommodation and Public Area cleaning.
• Strong organization and communication skills.
• Flexible and hands-on in pressurized environments.
• Ability to train and develop a strong team.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day housekeeping operations and lead the team.
• Train and develop staff to meet high standards of cleanliness.

The Role

We are currently looking for a Assistant Housekeeping Manager. You will be reporting directly to the Housekeeping Manager.

You will already be an experienced Housekeeping Supervisor or Assistant Housekeeping Manager with extensive experience in a branded hotel industry. You will have experience in Accommodation and Public Area cleaning. You will report directly to the Housekeeping Manager and have full responsibility for day to day supervision of a team of housekeepers within the hotel.

An ideal candidate must possess the ability to deliver cleaning and hospitality services to highest standards and be able to demonstrate a real passion for the industry. The candidate must be flexible and have a 'hands on' approach in a pressurized environment. The role requires someone with excellent organization and communication skills.

We are looking for someone with experience of leading and motivating a team. You will take responsibility to train and develop a strong team to excellent standards and customer service. You will demonstrate the ability to work within tight deadlines.

This is very much a hands on position and you will be involved in cleaning and supervising on a daily basis, leading team by example. You must have excellent customer service skills and be able to lead a team to success.

You will be flexible, reliable, enthusiastic with a passion for hospitality and be able to work in a team and also independently.

Our hotels and Conference Centres are busy establishments, therefore this is very much a hands on role.
