Job summary

Travelodge St Austell is seeking an Assistant Hotel Manager for a full-time on-site role. You will lead and develop hotel teams, recruit and induct staff, and ensure operations meet brand standards across food, service and facilities.

You’ll drive KPIs, deliver personal development plans, and help create a welcoming, high-performing environment with clear communication and opportunities for career progression.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a team in a service-led, customer-facing industry.
• Food & beverage experience is advantageous for Bar Cafe hotels.
• Ability to drive KPIs and hotel performance through your team.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and motivate hotel teams to deliver top customer service.
• Create personal development plans for team members.
• Recruit, induct and onboard new hires with welcoming orientations.
• Ensure food is prepared and presented to brand standards.
• Maximise food and beverage sales through cross- and upselling.
• Review customer feedback and implement targeted action plans.
• Oversee cleanliness, repairs, maintenance and health & safety.
• Handle rota management, banking and incentive schemes.
