Job summary

The Copthorne Hotel Manchester, part of Millennium Hotels and Resorts, is seeking an Assistant Head Housekeeper to join the Housekeeping team. You will supervise the team, ensure cleanliness standards, and support training and daily operations with a hands-on approach.

Responsibilities include room/public area checks, issuing corrective actions, and coordinating with the Head Housekeeper for training and workload planning.

The Copthorne Hotel Manchester is seeking anAssistant Head Housekeeperto join the Housekeeping team. Working closely with the Housekeeping Manager, you will play an intricate part in supervising and supporting the team, with the successful candidate having real attention to detail and the ability to work well under pressure.

As an Assistant Head Housekeeper, key responsibilities include:

• Ensuring a high standard of cleanliness within all areas of the hotel including guest rooms
• Conducting checks of rooms and public areas and addressing standards/issues with the team members directly taking corrective action where required
• Assisting the Head Housekeeper with team training, ensuring that all team members receive appropriate training and support to deliver standards required
• Getting involved in all aspects of the Housekeeping department in this ‘hands on’ role, working closely with the team to deliver excellent standards
• Supporting the Head Housekeeper with management tasks within the department
  

What we are looking for?

• Strong Housekeeping experience within hotels at supervisory/management level
• Experience of supervising teams
• Outstanding customer service skills
• Good organisational skills
• The ability to work well under pressure and maintain a professional approach
• The ability to work as part of a team
• Ability to work 5 days out of 7, on a rota basis, including weekend work.
