Job summary

The Copthorne Hotel Manchester, part of Millennium Hotels and Resorts UK, is seeking an Assistant Head Housekeeper to join the Housekeeping team at Salford Quays. You will supervise the team, support the Housekeeping Manager, and ensure meticulous standards and calm performance under pressure.

Key responsibilities include room and public area checks, staff training support, hands-on involvement with the team, and assisting with department tasks. Weekend rota is required.

Qualifications

• Experience at supervisory/management level in hotel housekeeping.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.

The Copthorne Hotel Manchester is seeking anAssistant Head Housekeeperto join the Housekeeping team. Working closely with the Housekeeping Manager, you will play an intricate part in supervising and supporting the team, with the successful candidate having real attention to detail and the ability to work well under pressure.

As an Assistant Head Housekeeper, key responsibilities include:

• Ensuring a high standard of cleanliness within all areas of the hotel including guest rooms
• Conducting checks of rooms and public areas and addressing standards/issues with the team members directly taking corrective action where required
• Assisting the Head Housekeeper with team training, ensuring that all team members receive appropriate training and support to deliver standards required
• Getting involved in all aspects of the Housekeeping department in this ‘hands on’ role, working closely with the team to deliver excellent standards
• Supporting the Head Housekeeper with management tasks within the department
  

What we are looking for?

• Strong Housekeeping experience within hotels at supervisory/management level
• Experience of supervising teams
• Outstanding customer service skills
• Good organisational skills
• The ability to work well under pressure and maintain a professional approach
• The ability to work as part of a team
• Ability to work 5 days out of 7, on a rota basis, including weekend work.
