Job summary

The Copthorne Hotel Manchester is seeking an Assistant Head Housekeeper to join the Housekeeping team. Working closely with the Housekeeping Manager, you will supervise and support the team, with a strong focus on detail and the ability to work under pressure.

Key duties include maintaining high cleanliness standards, conducting checks, training staff, and contributing to overall departmental operations in a hands-on role.

Qualifications

• Strong housekeeping experience in hotels at supervisory/management level.
• Experience supervising teams.
• Outstanding customer service skills.
• Good organisational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and maintain a professional approach.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Availability to work 5 days out of 7, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Ensure high standard of cleanliness in all hotel areas including guest rooms.
• Conduct room/public area checks and address standards/issues with team; take corrective action.
• Assist Head Housekeeper with training, ensuring staff receive proper guidance.
• Be involved in all aspects of the Housekeeping department in a hands-on role to deliver excellent standards.
• Support Head Housekeeper with management tasks within the department.

The Copthorne Hotel Manchester is seeking an Assistant Head Housekeeper to join the Housekeeping team. Working closely with the Housekeeping Manager, you will play an intricate part in supervising and supporting the team, with the successful candidate having real attention to detail and the ability to work well under pressure.

Key responsibilities

• Ensuring a high standard of cleanliness within all areas of the hotel including guest rooms
• Conducting checks of rooms and public areas and addressing standards/issues with the team members directly taking corrective action where required
• Assisting the Head Housekeeper with team training, ensuring that all team members receive appropriate training and support to deliver standards required
• Getting involved in all aspects of the Housekeeping department in this ‘hands on' role, working closely with the team to deliver excellent standards
• Supporting the Head Housekeeper with management tasks within the department
