JD Gyms Gloucester is seeking an Assistant General Manager to support day-to-day operations and work closely with the General Manager to uphold high standards of service and safety.

You will lead and develop a team of Fitness Coaches and General Assistants, drive membership and revenue, and ensure a welcoming, clean and safe environment for all members.

Qualifications

• Experience leading teams in leisure, fitness, hospitality or customer-focused environments.
• Strong commitment to delivering excellent member service and leadership with coaching ability.
• Qualified to Level 2 Gym Instructor or higher.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with Health and Safety Employee Policy and Company Procedures Handbook.
• Adhere to JD Gyms Brand Standard in all operations.
• Conduct daily, weekly and monthly safety checks and report defects.
• Recruit and manage Fitness Coaches and General Assistants to maintain daily coverage.
• Hold regular team meetings to aid development and updates.
• Support achievement of membership, revenue and commercial targets.
• Drive and maximise secondary spending revenue.
• Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness throughout the gym facility.
• Oversee weekly banking to minimise wastage and maximise profit.
• Ensure uniform standards across all team members.
• Deliver outstanding member service through positive and professional interactions.
• Create a positive, supportive and engaging working environment for colleagues.
• Represent JD Gyms values and standards in all member and colleague interactions.

Working closely with the General Manager, you will help maintain high operational standards, support colleague development and contribute to achieving membership and commercial objectives.
