Assistant Farm Manager – Indoor Pig Unit – Worcestershire - £38,000 + Accommodation: 3–4 bedroom cottage provided

The Job

An exciting opportunity for an experienced livestock professional to step into an Assistant Farm Manager role on a modern 550-sow indoor breeding unit. You will support the Farm Manager in the day to day running of the herd, supervising staff, maintaining high welfare standards and ensuring smooth and efficient operations. This is a hands on position, combining technical pig husbandry with leadership responsibilities.

The Candidate
  • Proven experience in pig farming (breeding herd experience desirable)
  • Strong animal husbandry and welfare knowledge
  • Leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate staff
  • Good organisational and record-keeping ability
  • Hands-on approach and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Full UK driving licence
