MDPI AG is seeking an Assistant Editor in Manchester to join our Editorial team. This entry-level, full-time position offers in-office work based in the city centre. You will support editorial workflows, organize peer review, manage communications, and collaborate with production teams to publish high-quality research on tight schedules.

No prior editorial experience is required; training will be provided on the job, with exposure to journals aligned to your field of study.

Qualifications

• PhD or Master's degree in environment-related field.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Team player able to work in dynamic, international environment.
• Detail oriented with ability to see the big picture.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Good communication and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the editorial process for journals in your domain of expertise.
• Organize peer review process and coordinate editorial decisions.
• Handle email communication between parties in the publication process.
• Collaborate with editorial and production teams.
• Ensure articles are edited and published accurately to deadlines.
