Qualifications

  • Experience within a similar role.

  • Invoicing and purchase ledger administration.
  • Monthly cost accounting and accounts preparation.

Job description

Agility are delighted to be working with one of Lancaster's success stories. Our client has been established for over 20 years and are looking for a talented Assistant Accountant to join their finance team. With the Finance Director working there for 19 years it is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to gain knowledge as well as developing their skills further.

What you will be doing :

  • Assisting the Financial Controller with the Management Accounts
  • Assisting with the invoice processing and purchase ledger administration
  • Using Excel spreadsheets to help with month end accounting, updating monthly sales data and calculations of sales commissions
  • Monthly cost accounting , ensuring this is up to date
  • Checking sales orders and invoices before they are sent out
  • Accounts preparation and stock control analysis
  • Credit Card analysis and monthly VAT
  • Dealing and resolving queries
  • Other ad hoc duties

What you will have:

  • Experience within a similar role
  • Minimum qualification of level 3 AAT or part qualified ACCA/CIMA
  • Strong Excel knowledge - including V look ups and Pivot tables
  • Team player
  • Wanting to learn and help grow the business
