Job description

PE Global is currently recruiting for an Assembler for a leading multi‑national oilfield service client based in Stonehouse. This is an initial 12‑month contract position based on site in Stonehouse.

Duties of the role/Responsibilities
  • Responsible for assembling and testing products, and for troubleshooting and resolving issues.
  • Assemble components of all Product Lines.
  • Select correct tools and fixtures.
  • Test assembled products.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve problems associated with the assembly and testing of products.
  • Ensure ability to read blueprints; identify components; use pertinent hand tools and rework techniques; operate equipment; dimension and set tolerances of mechanical parts and assemblies.
  • Create labor records for all transactions.
  • Use the guiding principles and tools of the Manufacturing System to drive continuous improvement.
Education/Experience
  • Basic (intermediate level preferred) level of soldering skills including awareness of solder and flux theory, and practical experience of soldering related activities such as tinning, splicing, jenkin spring, turret soldering, crimping, etc.
  • Select correct tools, solder types and fixtures.
  • Minimum high school or equivalent.
  • Vocational or trade school preferred.
