Job summary

A reputable education support organization is seeking an Aspiring Psychologist to work as a Youth Mental Health Worker in Maidenhead. This full-time role focuses on supporting children with mental health needs, especially those diagnosed with Autism. The ideal candidate will assist in classroom activities and provide crucial support to SEN students. A background in relevant fields or experience with children is advantageous. Competitive daily pay between £85 - £95 with immediate starts available.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with vulnerable children is desirable but not essential.
  • Background in sports, art or drama will also be at an advantage.
  • Graduates in a relevant field will also be considered.

  • Support and shadow the class teacher while providing 1:1 support for SEN students.
  • Help run exciting lessons to ensure the classroom is engaging.

If so… a really rewarding position has become available for a Youth Mental Health Worker to work in a school in Maidenhead. This is an excellent position to gain really valuable experience whilst also making a huge difference to the lives of vulnerable children.

They place a huge focus on supporting students who have been diagnosed with Autism, and ensure they are being met with the necessary interventions to support their development and education.

Responsibilities
  • Help children manage and cope with their emotions and mental health, regulate their emotions and adopt healthy coping strategies.
  • Support and shadow the class teacher, whilst providing 1:1 support for the SEN students.
  • Help run exciting lessons to ensure the classroom is a fun and exciting place.
  • Behavioural management may also be required.
