Job summary

Christ's College, Guildford is seeking a dedicated Apprentice ICT Technician to join our network team. You will provide first line technical support to staff and students, monitor the school network and manage Chromebooks, under supervision from the Network Manager and School Business Manager.

The role is 40 hours per week, with a starting apprentice rate of £8.00 per hour, rising to the National Living Wage in year two. Apprenticeship training and an enhanced DBS check are part of the package.

Qualifications

• GCSEs required with Maths and English (grade A-C / 9-4).
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Windows OS and applications.
• Demonstrates a proactive approach to work and good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide first line technical support and diagnostics to staff and students.
• Monitor and manage a service desk environment during the service window.
• Manage Chromebook bookings.
• Log calls and assist with escalation within SLA.
• Report incidents requiring third-party involvement.
• Monitor/change assets per the Change Control Procedure.
• Complete ad hoc project work as required.
• Assist Network Manager with additional duties.
• Keep workspace clean and tidy.
