Job summary

Yeovil College is offering a fixed-term IT Technician Apprentice role for up to 18 months, 37 hours per week, full-time, based in Yeovil.

You will be the first point of contact for staff and customers, troubleshoot via the helpdesk, and develop technical skills within a supportive IT team.

The apprenticeship provides hands-on experience, career growth opportunities, and a salary of £15,435 per year.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths and English at grade A-C or equivalent.
• ICT qualification grade 4 or above.
• Ability to configure and troubleshoot Windows desktop PCs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Methodical and accurate with strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact for staff and customers needing IT support.
• Troubleshoot issues and provide practical solutions via the helpdesk.
• Develop technical skills while delivering excellent customer service.

Salary: £15,435 - 15,435 per year

Requirements:

• Knowledge of configuring and troubleshooting Windows desktop PCs.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Confident engaging with our internal and external customers to resolve issues.
• GCSE Grade A-C in Maths and English or equivalent.
• ICT qualification at grade 4 or above.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Methodical and accurate, with strong attention to detail.
• Able to plan and prioritise workloads in a fast-paced environment.
