Job summary

Wycombe Heights Golf Club is seeking a Deputy Course Manager to work alongside the Course Manager in maintaining and continually improving the golf course to the highest possible standards, utilising modern techniques, products and equipment.

The Deputy Course Manager will supervise the greenkeeping team, plan and schedule maintenance, maintain Ground2Control records, train staff, and take on Course Manager duties during absences, while ensuring pesticides, fertilisers, irrigation and safety

Qualifications

Experience applying pesticides and fertilisers with relevant certifications.
Knowledge of golf course maintenance best practices and safety standards.

Responsibilities

Assist in planning, scheduling and supervising golf course maintenance operations.
Maintain records using Ground2Control in the absence of the Course Manager.
Communicate with the Course Manager and team about daily activities and plans.
Schedule work activities and supervise staff and equipment use.
Train team members in safe operation of mowing and turfcare equipment.
Supervise pesticide and fertiliser applications and maintain application equipment.
Oversee irrigation pumping stations, systems and drainage infrastructure.
Support personnel management, staff development, and health and safety compliance.
Assist in implementing and delivering the club's agronomic plan.
Ensure agreed standards of course presentation and maintenance.
Support wider club operations as needed.
