Job summary

Wycombe Heights Golf Club is seeking a Deputy Course Manager to work alongside the Course Manager to maintain and continually improve the golf course to the highest standards, using modern techniques, products and equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge in applying pesticides and fertilisers and hold the relevant qualifications and certifications.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge and experience in applying pesticides and fertilisers.
• Relevant qualifications and certifications are required.
• Ambition to progress into deputy responsibilities with training provided.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, scheduling and supervising golf course maintenance operations.
• Maintain records using Ground2Control in the absence of the Course Manager.
• Communicate daily activities and objectives with the Course Manager and team.
• Schedule work activities and supervise staff and equipment use.
• Train team members in safe maintenance of turfcare equipment.
• Supervise pesticide and fertiliser applications and calibration of equipment.
• Operate and maintain irrigation pumping stations and drainage infrastructure.
• Support personnel management, staff development and health and safety compliance.
• Assist with agronomic plan implementation and standards of course presentation.
