Job summary

Get Golfing invites applications for a Deputy Course Manager to support the Course Manager in delivering high-quality golf and a welcoming venue. You will lead the greenkeeping team, mentor staff, and help with training, safety, and day-to-day operations to maintain top course presentation.

The successful candidate will have strong agronomic knowledge, NVQ level 3 or equivalent, spraying certificates, machinery and irrigation experience, and proven leadership in a busy golf environment.

Qualifications

• Educated to NVQ level 3 or equivalent.
• PA1, 2 & 6a Spraying certificates.
• Irrigation maintenance, repair and use.
• Knowledge of machinery maintenance.
• Excellent communication and IT literacy.
• Ability to lead and motivate staff.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience as senior/first assistant or deputy.
• Chainsaw certificate.

Responsibilities

• Assist Course Manager and bridge with greenkeeping team.
• Lead, train and guide staff with empathy and patience.
• Ensure health & safety and COSHH compliance.
• Oversee irrigation and machinery maintenance as needed.
• Maintain course presentation standards.
