Job summary

Copthorne Hotel Cardiff-Caerdydd is seeking a Commis Chef to join a busy kitchen team. You’ll support kitchen operations and help deliver high-quality dishes under pressure, with training provided for capable staff. This is a physical role with weekend/nights shifts and a focus on HACCP and food safety.

Salary £26,436.80 per annum, 40 hours per week, on-site. Millennium Hotels and Resorts offers development opportunities and employee benefits.

• Physical role requiring stamina.
• Flexible attitude to shifts, including nights/weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Having a passion for food and communicate with other departments.
• Maintaining knowledge of HACCP and food safety legislation, and completing checks.
• Ensuring dishes meet standards and allergen information is available.
• Storing food items safely and managing stock to minimise waste.
• Keep kitchen equipment and environment hygienic and functional.
