Job summary

Caledonian Leisure Ltd in Torquay is seeking a Commis Chef to join our hotel kitchen team. You will gain hands-on experience in a busy hospitality environment, supporting senior chefs and contributing to menu execution.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the preparation and production of food items in line with agreed standards.
• Working collaboratively as part of the wider kitchen and restaurant team.
• Ensuring all food is prepared and presented to a high standard and within required timeframes.
• Having a good understanding of the daily menu and your responsibilities within it.
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work area, including correct storage of ingredients and equipment.
• Adhering to food safety, hygiene and sanitation standards at all times.
• Complying with hotel policies, procedures and health & safety regulations.
