Job summary

Bimplus in Basildon is seeking an experienced Asbestos Surveyor to join our Basildon-based team. The role focuses on Management, Refurbishment and Demolition Surveys in line with HSG264, with an emphasis on accuracy, compliance and professional autonomy.

You will produce accurate survey reports, communicate with clients and contractors, manage workloads and deadlines, and uphold current legislation and best practice. A full UK driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience as an Asbestos Surveyor within a UKAS-accredited consultancy.
• Strong knowledge of asbestos legislation and compliance requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Undertaking Management, Refurbishment, and Demolition Surveys in accordance with HSG264.
• Identifying and assessing asbestos-containing materials across varied site types.
• Producing accurate, compliant, and well-presented survey reports.
• Communicating professionally with clients, contractors, and internal colleagues.
• Managing workloads and project deadlines while maintaining technical standards.
• Ensuring all work complies with current legislation, HSE guidance, and best practice.

£34,000 – £40,000 salary (dependent on experience)
