Penguin Recruitment is seeking an experienced Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst in Basildon, Essex. The role combines surveying and analytical duties across commercial, domestic, and public sector sites, with a true dual-function workload.

The ideal candidate holds BOHS P402, P403 & P404, a full UK driving licence, and a track record in dual Surveyor / Analyst positions, delivering compliant reports and high-quality services.

Qualifications

• BOHS P402, P403 & P404 are essential qualifications.
• Full UK driving licence required.
• Experience in a dual Surveyor / Analyst role is preferred.
• Good understanding of asbestos legislation and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Carry out Management and Refurbishment & Demolition (R&D) asbestos surveys.
• Undertake air monitoring, including 4-stage clearances and reoccupation certification.
• Conduct bulk sampling and ensure procedures are followed.
• Produce accurate, compliant reports in line with HSG264 and HSG248.
• Manage workload across multiple sites and liaise with clients.

A well-established UKAS-accredited asbestos consultancy is looking to appoint an experienced Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst to support a busy and expanding workload across Basildon and the wider Essex region. The Role

• Carrying out Management and Refurbishment & Demolition (R&D) asbestos surveys
• Undertaking air monitoring, including 4-stage clearances and reoccupation certification

• Producing accurate, compliant reports in line with HSG264 and HSG248
• Managing workload across multiple sites
• Liaising with clients, contractors, and internal teams
• Maintaining high standards of health & safety and quality
