Job summary

J3a Recruitment is seeking an experienced Asbestos Surveyor to cover Birmingham and surrounding areas. You will perform Management, Refurbishment and Demolition surveys, collect samples, and prepare clear reports in compliance with current legislation.

The role requires a BOHS P402 qualification, experience in asbestos surveys, and strong report-writing skills. A full UK driving licence and client-facing abilities are essential, with progression opportunities available.

Qualifications

Asbestos Surveyor

Location: Birmingham and surrounding areas

Salary: £29,000-£38,000 per year

The Company

Our client is an established and growing asbestos consultancy delivering surveying, analytical and consultancy services across commercial, residential, industrial and public‑sector environments.

The Role

As an Asbestos Surveyor, you will complete a varied range of asbestos surveys across domestic, commercial and industrial properties. You will gather accurate site information, collect samples and produce clear, detailed survey reports while maintaining compliance with current asbestos legislation and company procedures.

The successful Asbestos Surveyor will be experienced, professional and capable of managing their own workload while maintaining excellent attention to detail.

Requirements

• A BOHS P402 qualification or recognised equivalent.

• Experience conducting Management, Refurbishment and Demolition surveys.
• A strong understanding of HSG264 and current asbestos legislation.
• Good report‑writing and technical documentation skills.

• A reliable, organised and accountable approach to work.

Training and Progression
