Profile

Our client is a leading and established name within the asbestos industry, working across the UK they provide a mixed range of clients with the full range of asbestos services. They are now looking to take on a commercial focused and driven Asbestos Operations Manager based in and around the Dartford area. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working within the asbestos removals industry and will have extensive experience managing teams of operatives / supervisors, overseeing asbestos removal projects, pricing and quoting of works and writing RAMS and ASB5s.

Experience & Qualifications

• Must have extensive previous experience working within the asbestos removal industry
• Will have excellent working knowledge of relevant Health and safety legislations

• Will have a strong technical, management, operational, removals, sales and commercials background
• Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

The Role

• Overseeing and supporting the asbestos team/site staff
• Managing and delegating work as necessary
• Involvement in Quality Control, Method Statements and Risk Assessments as required
• Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with legislation and company requirements
• Writing of RAMs and ASB5s
• Training staff and carrying out appraisals as required
• Pricing and quoting of asbestos removal works
• Carrying out audits and inspections of work
• Controlling the financial side of the business
• Enable the smooth running of the business
• Attending meetings when required and dealing with any issues that may arise
• Build and maintain a professional relationship with the company’s large portfolio of clients
• Responsibility for ensuring all contracts are completed to clients specifications
