Eurofins Environment Testing Australia is an Environmental testing network of fully accredited laboratories. We also operate field sampling services out of Melbourne and Sydney. Job Description
  • Full time ongoing position based in Welshpool, WA.
  • Monday - Friday, 11am - 7pm.
  • Extra 1.5% superannuation paid on top of National standard rate.

The Asbestos Analyst / Occupational Hygiene Technician role is primarily a laboratory based role, however may also include a field work component. Additionally, assisting the laboratory function by ensuring all samples are prepared and analysed in a timely manner while assisting with various other laboratory duties, to achieve operational, customer and quality requirements. Reporting to the Supervisor, this position will be accountable for but not limited to:

  • Prepare samples for analysis in accordance with sample/analysis requirements and preparation methods.
  • Perform routine analysis, validations and project work in an efficient and effective manner.
  • Analysis conducted will include respirable fibre counting, asbestos identification, inhalable and respirable dust (and associated airborne workplace contaminants), and diesel particulate analysis.
  • Ensure external and internal clients’ requirements are met / exceeded.
  • Ensure efficient utilisation of laboratory materials.
  • Operate, calibrate and maintain equipment/instruments as required.
