Job summary

Right Now Group are recruiting for an Operations Coordinator to join a growing specialist logistics business based in West Drayton, operating within the Fine Art and High-Value Goods sector. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with exposure to Freight Forwarding, Air Cargo, Courier Logistics or Customer Service who wants to develop their career within a unique area of logistics.

Qualifications

• Some previous exposure to Freight Forwarding, Logistics, Air Cargo or Courier operations would be advantageous
• Candidates at an earlier stage of their career with the right motivation will also be considered
• Fine Art / Art Logistics experience beneficial but not essential
• Customer Service experience would be advantageous
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Confident dealing directly with customers and suppliers
• Comfortable preparing quotations and working with numbers
• Strong organisation and attention to detail
• Positive, proactive and willing to learn
• Comfortable working within a busy, fast-paced environment
• Confident learning new systems and technology

Responsibilities

• Manage customer shipment requests from initial enquiry through to final delivery
• Prepare quotations and pricing for customers
• Book and coordinate shipments across Air Freight, Road Freight and Courier services
• Monitor live shipments and proactively update customers
• Liaise with airlines, couriers, specialist delivery partners and other suppliers
• Complete Export customs entries following training where required
• Ensure shipments are accompanied by the correct documentation
• Build strong relationships with customers and provide a high level of service
• Troubleshoot operational issues and find solutions to keep shipments moving
• Work closely with the wider Operations team to achieve service KPIs
• Identify opportunities to improve operational processes
• Use technology and internal systems to manage shipments efficiently
