Job summary

An Air Freight Coordinator in London is sought to join an international logistics team. You'll coordinate shipments through the gateway, manage consignments, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards while delivering high-quality customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

As an Air Freight Coordinator, you'll help ensure the smooth and efficient movement of consignments through the gateway, coordinating shipments, vehicles, documentation and customer requirements while maintaining strict operational and regulatory standards.

• Coordinate vehicles collecting and delivering consignments from airlines
• Manage the flow of consignments arriving and departing the gateway
• Ensure shipments are processed accurately, safely and securely
• Complete customs reports and operational documentation
• Raise records within the ETSF and discharge T1s from overnight deliveries
• Ensure accurate data is captured and uploaded onto internal systems
• Complete daily work schedules within agreed deadlines
• Monitor invoicing, job costing, CIA, netting and milestones
• Resolve queries from customers and suppliers promptly and professionally
• Maintain strong working relationships with customers and suppliers
• Complete internal and external rate reviews where required
• Support cost control and operational efficiency
• Follow strict SOPs, KPIs and regulatory requirements
• Ensure best-practice processes are consistently followed
• Work closely with internal teams to deliver excellent customer service

What we're looking for:

• Previous experience within air freight, freight forwarding or logistics
• Knowledge of import and export procedures
• Experience working with consolidations would be advantageous
• Previous airline transport experience would be beneficial
• Understanding of DfT/CAA, HMRC and IATA regulations
• Confident using Microsoft Word, Excel and other IT systems
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Systematic and methodical approach to your work
• Able to prioritise tasks and consistently meet deadlines
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
• Self-motivated, professional and enthusiastic
• Strong team player with excellent relationship-building skills
