Job summary

Right Now Group in West Drayton is seeking a Senior Freight Coordinator to lead complex international shipments, with a strong focus on VIP and high-end client care. You will manage air freight, courier and road freight movements from booking to delivery, coordinating documentation and customs processes with precision.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience within Freight Forwarding.
• Strong Air Freight / Air Cargo experience, including airline bookings.
• Experience coordinating international Courier shipments such as DHL, FedEx or similar.
• Good knowledge of Export customs procedures and documentation.
• CDS Export declaration experience highly advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage complex international freight shipments from start to finish.
• Act as a key point of contact for VIP and high-end clients.
• Build strong customer relationships and provide a highly personalised level of service.
• Coordinate approximately 90% Export and 10% Import shipments.
• Arrange movements across Air Freight, Road Freight and international Courier services.
• Make airline bookings and coordinate cargo through to departure.
• Prepare AWBs, T1s and other relevant shipping documentation.
• Complete Export customs declarations via CDS.
• Handle Free Circulation, Bond and Temporary Admission movements.
• Ensure correct tariff codes and CPCs are applied.
• Coordinate overseas agents and specialist white-glove delivery partners.
• Guide customers through customs and documentation requirements.
• Proactively monitor shipments and keep clients updated throughout.
• Manage customer expectations and resolve operational issues quickly.
• Work closely with Customer Care, Warehouse and wider Operations teams.
• Identify opportunities to improve Freight and Customs processes.

Right Now Group are recruiting for a Senior Freight Coordinator to join a growing specialist logistics business based in West Drayton, operating within the Fine Art and High-Value Goods sector.

This is a varied senior position combining hands-on Freight Operations with VIP Client Management and Customer Care. You will take ownership of complex international shipments while acting as a key point of contact for high-end clients, ensuring they receive an exceptional level of service from booking through to final delivery.

The operation is approximately 90% Export and 10% Import, with shipments moving predominantly via Air Freight alongside international Courier and Road Freight services.

Fine Art Logistics experience would be advantageous but isn't essential. The priority is finding an experienced Freight Forwarder with strong Air Cargo and Courier experience, excellent communication skills and a genuine passion for looking after customers.

Skills & Experience Required for a Senior Freight Coordinator

• 5+ years' experience within Freight Forwarding
• Strong Air Freight / Air Cargo experience, including airline bookings
• Experience coordinating international Courier shipments such as DHL, FedEx or similar
• Good knowledge of Export customs procedures and documentation
• CDS Export declaration experience highly advantageous
• Confident managing shipments from start to finish
• Previous experience managing customers directly
• Experience looking after VIP, high-end or demanding client accounts highly advantageous
• Excellent customer care and relationship-building skills
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Fine Art / Art Logistics experience preferred but not essential
• Excellent attention to detail and documentation accuracy
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work autonomously
• Comfortable working within a fast-paced and evolving environment

Salary & Benefits for a Senior Freight Coordinator

• Salary up to £45,000 depending on experience
• Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 17:30
• 40-hour working week
• Permanent, full-time position
