Job summary

Mitchell Maguire Limited in London is seeking an Area Sales Manager – Construction Plant Hire Sales to drive the hire of power generators and battery systems across London & South East. You will split time 50/50 between new business development and account management, targeting FM services, data centres, M&E contractors and infrastructure.

A strong track record in technical product hire is essential.

Qualifications

• Proven track record selling hire of technical products in construction and related sectors.
• Experience in FM services, data centres, M&E contractors, infrastructure and construction sectors preferred.
• Background in energy/hire equipment sales is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Drive hire sales of power generators and battery systems in London & South East.
• Balance 50% new business development with 50% account management.
• Develop and grow an existing customer portfolio across target sectors.
• Forecast and report sales activity; manage negotiations and offers.
• Use CRM to track opportunities and turnover targets.

The role of the Area Sales Managers – Construction Plant Hire Sales will involve:

• Field sales role, selling the hire of power generators and also battery systems
• 50% new business development 50% account managing and developing an existing portfolio of customers
• Typical sectors include FM services, data centres, M&E contractors, infrastructure, construction
• Working as part of a team or 4/5 London field sales professionals, you target market will be focused on either sector strength experience/ contacts or geography/ postcodes
• Projects from £1,000 per week rental income up to £25,000 per week rental income
• During your initial 6 month probation you will undergo a comprehensive induction programme alongside training development
• After 6 months you will enter the bonus scheme and be targeted to achieve £1.5m
• Budget management and achievement of area turnover target
• Internal reporting using CRM (salesforce) systems
• Forecast and sales analysis
• Management of negotiations and commercial offers

The ideal applicant will be an Area Sales Managers – Construction Plant Hire Sales with:

• Proven track record selling the hire of technical products, such as engineered products, construction products, HVAC products etc.
• Some sector experience and contacts within; FM services, data centres, M&E contractors, infrastructure, construction, manufacturing, food & beverage etc. preferred
• Power generation equipment knowledge is not essential
• Open to most construction hire equipment backgrounds
