Job summary

Mitchell Maguire is seeking an Area Sales Manager for Power Generation in the UK. The role focuses on selling a range of generators from portable to large industrial units across South and North regions, with additional promotion of light towers and battery storage systems.

You will manage budgets, report forecasts, and negotiate commercial offers, leveraging CRM tools to drive growth. A strong track record in power generation sales and a proactive, independent work style are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven track record selling power generation equipment.
• Experience with allied products such as light towers or battery storage is a plus.
• Construction hire equipment background welcomed.

Responsibilities

• Sell generators across a defined south and north region to plant hire companies, rental firms, resellers and distributors.
• Promote light towers and battery storage within the portfolio.
• Manage budgets and achieve area turnover targets; maintain CRM records and forecasts.

Area Sales Manager – Power Generation

Job Title: Area Sales Manager – Power generation

Industry Sector: Generators, Handling Equipment, Service & Parts, Battery Energy Storage, Rental Companies, Plant Hire, Light Towers, Resellers and Distributors

Areas to be covered: 1 x South and 1 x North

Remuneration: £45,000- £55,000 Neg. + 20% Bonus and 50% Stretch Bonus

Benefits: Fully expensed EV or Hybrid Car or £600 per month car allowance & full benefits

Role responsibilities

• Field sales role, vast majority of your time selling a manufactured range of generators, from small mobile petrol generators up to large scale industrial diesel and gas stationary generators
• Small amount of time also promoting light towers and battery storage systems
• Majority of time selling into plant hire companies and rental companies as well as resellers and distributors of generators
• Budget management and achievement of area turnover target
• Internal reporting using CRM (salesforce) systems
• Forecast and sales analysis
• Management of negotiations and commercial offers
