Job summary
Ingersoll Rand plc is seeking an Area Sales Engineer to develop and grow sales across the Midlands and South of England. The successful candidate will identify new business opportunities, strengthen relationships with customers and channel partners, and deliver technical solutions with measurable value.
This home-office role is UK-based with frequent travel across the Midlands, South of England, and occasional travel to Europe.
Qualifications
- Engineering degree or equivalent technical qualification.
- Proven experience in B2B technical sales or business development.
- Experience with pumps, blowers, vacuum technologies or process industries preferred.
- Strong communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
Responsibilities
- Create and execute a territory growth plan.
- Win new customers and expand existing relationships.
- Visit customers regularly and develop tailored technical solutions.
- Lead technical presentations and value-based proposals.
- Manage opportunities from lead generation to order closure.
- Develop aftermarket opportunities including services, parts, upgrades and replacements.
- Monitor competitors and market trends.
- Collaborate with engineering, applications and service teams.
