Job summary

Ingersoll Rand plc is seeking a Compressed Air & Pneumatics Service Engineer to join a Crawley-based team. The role covers diagnosing faults, installing and maintaining compressors, and providing on-site service across the South East and beyond.

The successful candidate will have experience with compressed air systems, relevant qualifications, a valid UK driving license, and a proactive, customer-focused approach. Travel and occasional overnight stays are expected.

Qualifications

Experience in the compressed air industry preferred but isn’t essential.
Experience with high pressure systems or F Gas qualifications desirable.
Fork-lift, IPAF and trailer licences are handy but not essential.
Good interpersonal and IT skills.
Desire to provide a high quality of workmanship &’can do’ attitude.
Current UK driving license

Responsibilities

Effectively diagnose mechanical and electrical faults on customer equipment
Aluminium & steel pipework installations
Undertake planned and preventative maintenance on compressors and a range of ancillary equipment and compressed air systems
Perform emergency breakdown fault finding and repair
Install and commission compressors and compressed air systems
Recommend additional works that may assist customers or enhance the company’s performance
Maintain good professional working relationships with all existing and new customers
Maintain company vehicle, PPE, testing and other company equipment in accordance with guidelines
