Job summary
Ingersoll Rand is seeking an Area Sales Engineer to drive growth across the Midlands and South of England. This home-office role requires frequent travel, developing opportunities, presenting technical solutions to customers and channel partners.
You will collaborate with engineering and service teams, manage opportunities from lead to order, and contribute to aftermarket growth including parts and upgrades. A field-based, customer-facing position offering development and a competitive package.
Qualifications
- Engineering degree or equivalent technical qualification.
- Experience in B2B technical sales or business development.
- Experience with pumps, blowers, vacuum technologies or process industries preferred.
- Strong communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
Responsibilities
- Create and execute a territory growth plan.
- Win new customers and expand existing relationships.
- Visit customers regularly and develop tailored technical solutions.
- Lead technical presentations and value-based proposals.
- Manage opportunities from lead generation to order closure.
- Develop aftermarket opportunities including services, parts, upgrades and replacements.
- Monitor competitors and market trends.
- Collaborate with engineering, applications and service teams.
