Job summary

Ingersoll Rand Compressor Systems & Services is seeking an Area Sales Engineer to cover the Midlands and South of England. The role is based from home with frequent travel across the region, developing new business and strengthening existing customer relationships by delivering tailored technical solutions.

You will lead technical presentations, craft value-based proposals and manage opportunities from lead to order, while exploring aftermarket services, parts, upgrades and replacements.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent technical qualification.
• Proven experience in B2B technical sales.
• Experience with pumps, blowers, vacuum technologies or process industries preferred.
• Strong communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Create and execute a territory growth plan.
• Win new customers and expand existing relationships.
• Visit customers regularly and develop tailored technical solutions.
• Lead technical presentations and value-based proposals.
• Manage opportunities from lead generation to order closure.
• Develop aftermarket opportunities including services, parts, upgrades and replacements.
• Monitor competitors and market trends.
• Collaborate with engineering, applications and service teams.
