Job description

Our client has been established for over 30 years. They are NHBC A1 rated and enjoy a reputation for building quality new homes, with most customers indicating they will buy from them again.

The company is a family-run business with a friendly, dedicated, and experienced team. They are seeking an Architectural Technician to join their team.

The Role:

• Produce planning drawings for submission.
• Assist in developing and preparing site layouts using standard house types for feasibility and planning submission.
• Produce supporting documentation, such as a DAS for planning applications.
• Assist in preparing Building Regulation compliance drawings and supporting information to achieve approval.
• Produce setting out, house type working drawings, external works, electrical layouts, and conveyancing drawings to a high standard.
• Revise and update layouts and house type drawings as required and re-issue to the site construction team.
• Assist in issuing information to site and setting up construction and site manuals.
• Collaboratively work with other internal departments.
• Support other members of the design and technical team.
• Work on new house type designs.
• Assist in creating a new Revit library of details and construction drawings.

Your Experience:

• Be proficient in AutoCAD.
• Have good Revit skills to produce construction drawings and house type drawings in 3D format.
• Have the ability to use software to produce 3D visualizations.
• Have excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Have a good understanding of Building Regulations and NHBC standards.
• Be a team player with a can-do attitude, but also self-motivated and comfortable working on own initiative.
• Be willing to learn, be flexible, and get involved with a wide range of tasks.
• Possess a driving license.
• Ideally qualified to HNC level in construction or a related subject.
• A relevant degree would be advantageous but not essential.
