Qualifications

Full time (40 hours), Monday – Friday (8-hour shifts)

About the job

We seek an experienced Arborist Team Leader to supervise a small tree cutting team, ensuring work safety and efficiency.

The ideal candidate will have climbing experience, leadership skills, and pride in their work. We offer excellent benefits, including a bonus scheme, training, and career progression.

Responsibilities include:
  • Leading your team and clarifying expectations
  • Ensuring health and safety standards and risk assessments are followed
  • Motivating and coaching team members
  • Demonstrating knowledge of tree-cutting equipment, techniques, and safety standards

Candidate requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years’ climbing experience, qualified up to UA2.3
  • At least 2 years’ leadership experience
  • City & Guilds NPTC Level 2 in Chainsaw Maintenance and Cross-Cutting
  • City & Guilds NPTC Level 2 in Felling and Processing Trees up to 380mm
  • City & Guilds NPTC Level 2 in Tree Climbing and Rescue
  • City & Guilds NPTC Level 3 in Aerial Cutting with a Chainsaw using Free-fall Techniques
  • Relevant arboriculture qualification or proven work skills
  • Availability for emergency out-of-hours work
