Johnsons Cars is recruiting an Apprentice Vehicle Technician for Volkswagen in Stoke. The role is permanent and full-time, supporting experienced technicians and learning through the company’s training academy.

The position offers a basic salary of £16,640 (NMW depending on age), 31 days holiday rising with service, birthday day off, a company pension, staff discounts, and access to dental services, plus strong career progression opportunities.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Assist experienced technicians in the workshop with a range of automotive maintenance and repair tasks.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance services as per manufacturer requirements.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot vehicle issues using diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organised work environment.
• Participate in ongoing training and development programs to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding vehicle issues and repair progress.

What We’re Looking For

• A genuine interest in the automotive industry and a passion for learning and developing technical skills.
• Previous experience in a similar role or relevant coursework after leaving school is preferable.
• Ability to work well in a team environment and follow instructions from senior technicians.
• Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
• Ideally qualified in Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance
