Job summary

Johnsons Cars in Solihull is seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician to join our busy workshop. You will service, maintain and repair vehicles to manufacturer standards, diagnose faults with modern equipment, and perform health checks.

We offer a competitive salary (£32,000 - £36,000), an uncapped bonus scheme with realistic £45k+ OTE, paid overtime including Saturdays, 31-33 days holiday, birthday day off, a company pension, staff discounts, healthcare options, ongoing manufacturer training

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair.
• Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician / Mechanic in a main dealership or independent workshop.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Servicing, maintenance and repairs to manufacturer standards.
• Diagnosing faults using modern diagnostic equipment.
• Completing repairs efficiently and to a high standard.
• Carrying out vehicle health checks (EVHC) and identifying additional work.
• Recording all work accurately in company systems.
• Working safely as part of a professional workshop team.

The role

• Carrying out servicing, maintenance, and repairs to manufacturer standards
• Diagnosing faults using modern diagnostic equipment
• Completing repairs efficiently and to a high standard
• Conducting vehicle health checks (EVHC) and identifying additional work
• Ensuring all work is recorded accurately in line with company processes
• Working safely and as part of a professional workshop team

What we’re looking for

• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
• Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician / Mechanic in an independent or main dealership environment
• Strong attention to detail and pride in your work
• Ability to work efficiently in a busy workshop
• Full UK driving licence
