Job summary

The Platinum Motor Group in Frome is offering an Apprentice Service Advisor role within the busy Service Department. No motor trade experience is required; you will learn on the job and gain a recognised Customer Service qualification with training from S&B Automotive Academy.

From day one you will be part of a supportive team, earning a wage while you learn, and developing customer service, administration and workshop liaison skills as you progress toward a long-term career in the automotive

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers to the dealership and provide a friendly, professional service.
• Speak with customers by telephone, email and face-to-face.
• Understand customers' servicing and repair requirements and communicate these clearly to the workshop team.
• Book vehicles in for servicing, maintenance and repair.
• Keep customers informed about the progress of their vehicle.
• Explain work completed and any future work that may be required.
• Help prepare estimates and invoices.
• Maintain accurate customer and vehicle records.
• Support the effective organisation of the workshop diary.
• Learn about manufacturer procedures, warranty requirements and service promotions.
• Work closely with Service Advisors, Technicians, and the Service Manager.
• Develop the knowledge and skills required to become a confident and professional Service Advisor.

We are looking for an Apprentice Service Advisor to join our busy Service Department at our Dealership in Frome.

The Role:

As an Apprentice Service Advisor, you'll become a valued member of our Dealership team from day one, learning the role through a combination of practical, on-the-job experience and structured training. You'll complete a Customer Service Apprenticeship, taking approximately 12 months, with training and support provided by S&B Automotive Academy alongside the support and experience of the Platinum team.

Our Service Advisors are an important link between our customers and our workshop. During your apprenticeship, we'll teach you how to deliver an excellent customer experience while supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the Service Department.

With training and support, you'll learn how to:
