Barking Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust is advertising for a Band 3 Apprentice Patient Pathway Administrator in Romford. The role combines administrative duties with the Business Administration Level 3 Apprenticeship, supporting Gastroenterology and the Clinical Diagnostic Unit.

The post requires NHS experience preferred, a flexible attitude, and the ability to manage pathways from referral to discharge while meeting RTT targets.

Qualifications

• Be 16 years old or over (note: 18 or over for clinical vacancies)
• Have the right to work in the UK with a visa covering the duration of the apprenticeship
• Have been ordinarily resident in the UK for the past 3 years
• Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Gastroenterology service and the Clinical Diagnostic Unit
• Contribute to Trust KPIs, primarily 18-week RTT targets
• Validate and monitor the Trust’s performance against RTT standards

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient pathways from referral through investigation, treatment, follow-up and discharge
• Proactively manage waiting lists
• Support RTT standards and coordinate outpatient appointments
• Monitor patient pathways and work closely with consultants, nurses and operational teams
• Prioritise workload with minimal supervision and work as part of a team
