Job summary

Volvo Trucks is seeking motivated individuals for HGV Technician Apprenticeships starting in 2027. You will learn to repair, service, MOT and maintain modern trucks, buses, and hybrids while working with skilled technicians.

The programme includes block release at Inspiro Derby and ongoing in-work training over 32 months, with a dedicated coach and 1-2-1 support. Benefits include funded training, IMI qualifications, and access to employee benefits.

Qualifications

• Enthusiastic individuals with a strong interest in heavy vehicles.
• Basic understanding of mechanical systems and a desire to learn.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail.
• Strong communication skills and a team player mentality.
• Desired qualifications: GCSE A to C/Grade 4 in Math and English.

Responsibilities

• Learn to repair, service, MOT and maintain trucks including hybrid technology.
• Attend college courses regularly and complete the IMI qualification.
• Work with qualified technicians and parts team during training.
• Adhere to Volvo procedures, safety rules and PPE requirements.
