Job summary

Volvo Trucks Apprenticeships in Croydon offer a hands‑on HGV Technician pathway starting in 2027. You will be mentored by qualified technicians, use Volvo tools, and learn repair, service, and MOT skills across modern trucks and buses.

The programme combines classroom learning with on‑the‑job training over 32 months, with college blocks at Inspiro Academy in Derby. Accommodation and travel costs are covered by the employer.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths and English at grade C/4 or higher.
• Willingness to learn and pursue IMI qualifications.
• Enthusiasm for heavy vehicles and hands‑on work.

Responsibilities

• Assist with repairs using Volvo standard times and tools.
• Assist in fault diagnosis and learn diagnostics process.
• Work with parts team to ensure correct replacement parts.
• Learn to use Volvo special tools safely.
• Attend college courses and block release at Inspiro Heavy Vehicle Academy.
