Job summary

Volvo Truck and Bus invites energetic individuals to join their Apprenticeship for Heavy Vehicle Technicians. You will learn to repair, service, MOT and maintain modern trucks, buses and hybrids, with training delivered at the Inspiro Heavy Vehicle Academy in Derby, across 32 months in 18 blocks.

You will gain IMI Heavy Vehicle Service and Maintenance Technician Level 3 qualification, with accommodation and travel costs covered by the employer.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths & English (Grade C/4) or equivalent.
• Basic understanding of mechanical systems and a desire to learn.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist with repairs using Volvo standards and tools.
• Support fault diagnosis and learn warranty procedures.
• Work with parts team to fit correct replacement parts.
• Learn to use Volvo special tools safely and efficiently.
• Attend college modules and complete 32-month apprenticeship.
