Job summary

Volvo Group invites motivated individuals to join the HGV Technician Apprenticeship programme starting in 2027. Training combines classroom learning with hands-on workshop experience on state-of-the-art Volvo trucks and buses, including hybrid technology, at Inspiro Heavy Vehicle Academy in Derby.

You will spend 32 months developing skills, with college blocks and on-site training, supported by a dedicated Development Coach and IMI qualifications.

Qualifications

• GCSEs in Math and English (A*-C) required.
• Strong interest in heavy vehicles and a desire to learn.
• Excellent problem-solving and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assist with repairs carried out to Volvo standards using Volvo tools.
• Assist in fault diagnosis and warranty procedures during repairs.
• Work with parts team to ensure correct replacement parts.
• Learn to use Volvo specialist tools safely and efficiently.
