Job summary

Government Recruitment Service is seeking an Application Operations Engineer for DWP Digital’s Centralised Application Support Services. You will support, maintain and continuously improve applications across Linux, Windows, databases, and cloud/on-prem environments, following ITSM best practices such as ITIL, Agile and Scrum.

There is an on-call rota with overnight and weekend coverage. You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure service availability, incident response, and continual

Qualifications

• Experience in live service IT Service Management.
• Ability to fix complex issues and continuously improve systems.
• Knowledge of ITIL, Agile and Scrum frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Digital Group to ensure smooth operation of operational processes.
• Provide service management expertise to ensure service availability and timely responses to issues.
• Monitor health, availability, and stability of applications across environments.
• Raise, coordinate and deploy changes into test and live estate; perform required testing.
• Create and maintain knowledge articles; share best practices across teams.
